Without going into further details as many variables are up in the air, but I feel a change is in the air. Anyway before I write any more from my head, I post this video clip of our Saturday afternoon in Vegas ….. just got crazy after that.

For sure amazing things ONLY happen to those who are amazing. If you expect any other explanation then you play the lottery too often and you more than likely spend most of your time talking about other people and things they do. You could go on and on about chance and timing but then you could more than likely be able to spread a small field with the shit you are coming up with. So what does it take to be amazing?
I personally quantify amazing by the things people do and achieve. In a work space I base all successes based on outcome but in personal life continuous effort will equal results over time. So how do amazing things happen for the amazing people?
First off you must have a goal which is clear and attainable, like in my case is to have a No.1 song in the Irish charts by end September 2012. Second you must be able to visualize that you have achieved this goal in a normal livable manner – like going over in your head what people will say to you and the answers you say. You must take the aura of being amazing, own it and be continuously feeding your mind with this thought and start to believe it. Third is package yourself as a product, allocate a budget and buy clothes and get into a routine of going out and practicing the second issue. Fourth is to practice and practice as much as possible, don’t let others take you away from your practice. Fifth, is know your limits and get help where needed – don’t be afraid to lick ass to get what you want. Sixth, is accept a knock back as not a “never” but just “not now”, tomorrow is a new day and its only delaying your goal by a day or two. Lastly and I hate saying it but if you are good looking it helps an awful lot more than you think. But don’t let this knock you, just focus more on the third issue.
So if someone you know goes on and on about something they want to achieve – ask them 2 questions. (1) what are you doing to achieve what they are talking about. (2) are they putting enough of the right energy into achieving this goal? In my life so far I have so many examples of where people who have clear goals and visualization – eventually achieving their goals. In my view they are amazing !
The question is – are you?
There is no doubt in my mind as to who will win this years (2012) Eurovision, so much so that I have placed a 1000 euro bet on it. Sweden with Euphoria by Loreen will win and the best thing about this is that the feeling of the need to sing an old slager type eurovision bucks fizz style song is GONE.
But from an Irish stand point its a total shame why we choose the Irish act we did and that RTE put no money into it. Just look at the video and see how much the SVT (Swedish TV) put into their selection:
For the past 2 years in a row I have picked the winning song for the Eurovision and this year will be no difference – Sweden will win. I have no problem in saying at this point that in 2013, Layzi will win the Eurovision.
That time of the year where I relate to things which I really want. For those close I am having a barbeque chill out party so come along.
Life throws things at you from time to time but this week the thing that has shown through is “when is something good enough?”. There is no need for me to really go into detail of what the main thing is but I want to address more the actions that achieves half the need. Lets look at this as a maths equation in a fuzzy kind of way – lets say you were an actor and your goal was to star in a hollywood blockbuster, but you would not act in anthing unless it was perfect. So instead of acting in small crappy parts and doing those parts well and being seen by producers – you stay at zero waiting for the big shot to call you.
Or lets say you want to be a pop singer and want to someday have a number 1 track in the charts, but you never release any track as you are waiting for the first track to be so perfect. So instead of people hearing your voice and DJ /producers getting ideas of maybe collaberating – nothing happens. (Is everything Sinead O Connor puts out there good enough? – in my view no, but so many people wanna work with her as she keeps at it).
Or never giving love a try because you are waiting for the one that is perfect for you.
THE END SYNOPSIS IS : THERE IS NO SUCH WORD AS PERFECT, there is only a self acceptance and occasion. You either act in that moment or you don’t. Some people call it “missing that boat”. But for some reason I always come back to explaning it as a ladder – life is full of people who psychologically live on different rungs of the ladder than you. Unless you throw yourself and actions out there you will only ever stay on the rung you are at. So you have obviously heard of the term “mixing with the right people” but to mix with different ladder sets you need to psycholocally and physically feel worthy of the position or else its short lived and you end up back at the previous rung or lower.
To explain this I have come up with a personal example, I wanna be a DJ / music producer (aka guy who makes people dance with his own stuff) so instead of playing my stuff for my own ears and waiting for it to be so perfect so I can send to a record label deal - I ask a local club to let me play my own creations for 30 mins at the very start of the night when nobody is there. Chances are I will get the slot; at first people laugh at me saying thats stupid or my music is crap – but after a while I gain in knowledge and experience so much so that the cleaning staff and the bar staff start to like what I do and tell a few mates who pop along and after months people start to come at the start of the night as they think my set is absolutely amazing so other clubs get wind of me and my career starts to progress – as apposed to dreaming the bedroom DJ dream of …. one day I could be in Ibizia playing to thousands.
I am not perfect and my music is not perfect, but what I have is OK and there is right now – so whats the clubs number !
I suppose you could call life a battle or a daily struggle to find inner personal direction. But as of late I find myself at ease with saying the phrase “I don’t know”, which is a simple way of calming my brain down from thinking too much. Before I go on I must say us Irish are amazing for only a few million we have brought great joy to the entire world – for instance this artwork of Che Guevara which was posted all over Cuba was actually painted in Ireland by a Kerry man – fecking amazing (reference).
As for life, there is no meaning and no matter which way you look at it there is no explanation – religious or science. Only point I see is write down 3 things you love and 3 things you are good at – in my view if you are over 25 years of age you should occupy your existance with 80% of these. If not you are most likely either stupid, already dead or in jail.
Life is not about living the healtiest for the longest or doing the right thing in other peoples eyes for the longest or jumping the longest or being the best at diving the deepest. Its all about you being the real you for the time you have. No religion or science can fill this. When the lights go out your impression will fade and something new will replace you. So your time here is all about what you want it to be.
If I was to put my life or what I want my life to be explained as I would put forward my song “Wanted” as it best describes me:
Watch the party live on my blog
The UK government is giving the US company that runs Poolbeg 100,000 USD per barrel to store the highly radioactive waste under the incinerator for …. well the term FOREVER is used. It is estimated that 100,000 barrels can be stored there.
OK, this is only a joke and the reason I say this is that NOTHING I say or the media for that matter can take people’s attention away from the X Factor. Our banks are fucked and they are rising interest rates, now the credit unions are fucked which is basically the only source most people have to get by each month. On top of this the budget in a few weeks is going to cut many social benefits. But nobody cares as the x factor is all that matters. Are we so so stupid … this is the same garbage which the Romans used to 2000 years ago. Entertain the fools and they will forget everything else…. and then the roman empire fell and everyone went back to eating snowballs..
Is this going to be our faith?
So just to get you up to speed. Last December I said I would play the Irish lotto every month with €20 cumulative each month, so it means today being the 10th month I have to play €200, which I have. I have no feeling at all if I win the jackpot this month – normally I would think I have a chance but over the months I have realised that on the Sunday morning when I check the results I win feck all, so my funny feeling is the same will happen again. I think the most I have won so far is €15. I could say quit now and save myself the money. But if you know me you will know I stick to plans.
I can’t say rude enough words about the Irish media – its unbelievable how much mismash of total sham they put in the papers today to sell them. I had to turn to the English media to get the real unbiased truth. In most Irish newspapers and radio they ran with stories of how bad it was for a former “IRA” leader to be running for the presidency. Columns and columns of space about Mr McGuinness’s troubled past and how he is a media genius of how he can squirm away from telling the truth during media interviews – or how bad it was that he did not turn up to the queens dinner in Dublin.
Lets look at 3 months ago when David Norris was running and it came out about his gay lover’s ordeal and how he tried to get him off – the Irish media jumped all over it so much so that TDs removed their backing for him – just shows how weak some of our IRISH TDs actually are. Now that this has died down and the media are after McGuinness, Norris is crawling back into the race. IN MY MIND THERE IS ONLY 1 AND THAT IS MCGUINNESS the rest are just media puppets and to be honest are not strong enough for the position.
Mcguinness did not grow up in Dublin 4 and go to Trinity, he did not play rugby for Munster, he did not sing for Ireland at the eurovision, he is not an ambassador for gay rights. He is a man who grow up in very very very troubled times, who fought with his hands and mind for his community. No matter if he grew up on the otherside of Derry, he surely would have fought equally as hard for the prodestant side. The IRA has developed over the years into a equally liberating political party which together with all others are trying hard to solve the issues in the north. As a Irish person I read about these troubles on a daily basis and after living in Monaghan and Belfast I know first hand what it means – but we have to look at the north like that of the middle east and say we have come along way. This progress is down to many people and governments – one of those people is Martin McGuinness.
I could write about the good and the bad about each candidate, but with McGuinness he would bring a sense of reality to Irish politics. Eventhough the president does not have to do much – show up for state dos and sign paperwork. Over the past 10 years Ireland has been run by crocked politicians, public servants and large property developers so much so that has Ireland on its knees. I came back to Wexford, Ireland in 2006 and I am no economist and I knew that something was wrong when everybody was in the construction industry – and worse of all everyone was calling me negative and saying that I should shut up and go with the flow and build, build, build.
So if I saw this then why didn’t the financial regulator or the prime minister or the president ?? The were too busy minding their own corner and building their own wealth. So the question is – would Ireland be in the state we are in if McGuinness was on the throne? and the clear answer in my head is no. He is answerable to no man, through his life he has fought for a cause and adapted when things changed. I am in no doubt that he will make a difference to the republic of Ireland, just in the same way he has helped the north flourish.
So is he a states man? Ever since his teens everybody around him saw something more and when the British government invited key IRA members to come over to Downing st for round table discussions, the youthful leader left his mark – so much so that the British ear marked him as a “potential leader” and a person they could do business with. Unlike Mary McAleese, McGuiness will standout and be recognized as being a figure head with whom things ACTUALLY can happened with.
Lastly, the Irish media is going on and on for Martin McGuiness to tell the truth about his past and who he killed and ordered the killing of. In my view if he is asked to come clean then all parties should also come clean at the same time with all killings so all injured parties can get some psychological rest. So no way should he come clean for all to ridicule him more. He is our president and I wish him well on his journey to help make Ireland a better country in the time ahead.
